SÜLZLE Stahlpartner Göppingen supports the Made for Humanity e.V.

Donation on the occasion of the 140th anniversary of the SÜLZLE Group

13.11.2020

On the occasion of the 140th company anniversary, branch manager Oliver Nöldner handed over a donation cheque of 1,400 Euro to Made for Humanity e. V. on behalf of the entire SÜLZLE Stahlpartner Göppingen branch.

Although human trafficking is a blatant violation of human rights, in the public perception of most European societies the crime of human trafficking does not take place. The association is doing something to counteract this: Made for Humanity e.V. has made it its business to provide information about the problem of human trafficking and modern slavery through lectures and seminars, teaching units in schools or information stands at events.

Help for victims abroad

Victims of human trafficking are usually marked for the rest of their lives. Even if the women manage to escape the clutches of human traffickers and pimps, they usually lack any perspective. Alienation from the family, shame, instability, drug addiction and poor education often drive the young women to do the only thing they have learned: They sell their bodies again. The association wants to break this vicious circle and give victims of human trafficking a new perspective. It works together with partners who already have years of experience in aftercare.

Together, they ensure that the women are reintegrated into society in a holistic way and can develop a perspective for their lives. Holistic reintegration is guaranteed by a combination of school education (in some cases, it is possible to catch up on a school leaving certificate), training and work opportunities, psychological support and the teaching of life skills, such as how to handle money, hygiene, etc.

Together against human trafficking

In addition, the association is a member and part of the organization Gemeinsam gegen Menschenhandel, because the problem of human trafficking is complex and internationally anchored and therefore cannot be solved by Made for Humanity e.V. alone. Together with allies and like-minded people of Together Against Human Trafficking much more can be achieved.
