Steel for Hamburg data center

AKQUINET builds secure, highly available and sustainable data center

Green Datahub Holding (GDH) and AKQUINET are currently building a new data center in Victoria Park on the eastern outskirts of Hamburg. From spring 2024, customers will have access to around 700 server cabinets on over 2,350 m2 of IT space.

The special feature: The data center will not only be extremely secure and highly available – the aim is to achieve the highest TÜViT TSI Level 4 certification – but also very sustainable. Only natural electricity from renewable energy sources will be used for operation, and all systems and machines will be tested for sustainability. A photovoltaic system will be installed on the green roof and waste heat will be used consistently. Together with the client and construction partner OTTO WULFF, the Lübeck branch of SÜLZLE Stahlpartner supplied the reinforcing steel for the construction project from November 2022 to September 2023.
