Brandbergtunnel in the Elztal

Around 14,000 vehicles use the B 294 in Winden every day. With a length of 4.8 kilometres, the Winden bypass will relieve the burden on local residents and avert potential dangers. The key structure for the bypass near the Black Forest metropolis of Freiburg is the Brandberg Tunnel.

The tunnel project in Elztal was built by SÜLZLE Stahlpartner from Rosenfeld with around 2,150 tonnes of reinforcing steel, 1,300 tonnes of lists and 35 tonnes of storage mats on behalf of ARGE Tunnel Brandberg (consisting of Baresel Tunnelbau GmbH and Heitkamp Construction Swiss GmbH) in the period from February 2021 to November 2022.
