New corporate headquarters for Continental
Modern architecture and intelligent digital technology
The SÜLZLE Stahlpartner branch in Seelze was involved in the construction project “New construction of the company headquarters Continental AG, Hanover” between March and October 2019. Inspired by the Nürburgring, Gunter Henn designed an architecturally first-class building ensemble for this project, which is currently being constructed on two building sites north and south of Hans-Böckler-Allee in Hanover. When completed in 2021, the new corporate headquarters of Continental AG will present a tangible, real picture of our networked and modern society.
In the course of this project, Ed. Züblin AG constructed a shell of impressive dimensions within eight months. The dimensions extend over five buildings with up to four storeys and a filigree steel bridge construction, which connects the two construction sites via one of the busiest roads in Hanover. In order to be able to erect such an enormous shell construction in this time, 195 employees of ZÜBLIN worked on the construction site, which was equipped with seven tower cranes and on which a total of approx. 32,000 m3 of concrete was used. With the delivery of 4,600 tons of reinforcing steel and reinforcing steel mesh, the branch office in Seelze contributed to the topping-out ceremony of the new company headquarters on November 6th, 2019, taking place as planned.
