Gomadingen

Strong foundation for wind farm

Gomadingen energy transition project

A major project for the energy transition is underway in the Swabian Alb: the Gomadingen wind farm, with five wind turbines, is set to supply over 21,500 households with green electricity from 2026 onwards. RES, the world’s largest independent renewable energy company, is responsible for planning and implementation. At the same time, a substation is being built to feed the electricity from the 31-megawatt wind farm into the public grid. SÜLZLE Stahlpartner Dußlingen supplied around 550 tonnes of reinforcing steel for the 24.5 m wide flat foundations with a height of up to 2.90 metres on behalf of Max Bögl Wind AG – in just one and a half months (May to June 2025).

The biggest challenge for the SÜLZLE team was the tightly scheduled construction phases and the millimetre-precise radial bends for the round foundation structures. Thanks to precise manufacturing, on-time just-in-time deliveries and smoothly functioning logistics, the construction progress was realised without delays.
