Stainless steel reinforcement: Coils and bars

Stainless steel reinforcing bars

Durable, precise and corrosion-resistant

Stainless steel coils and bars are used wherever durability and corrosion resistance are crucial. They form the basis of all stainless steel reinforcement and ensure reliable force transmission within the concrete – even under extreme environmental conditions.

The stainless steel reinforcement bars are supplied in various grades, diameters and lengths – individually tailored to your project. They are suitable for both new builds and the renovation of existing structures, such as buildings exposed to high chloride levels (car parks, bridges, tunnels, sewage treatment plants, etc.). The use of stainless steel allows maintenance cycles to be extended and life-cycle costs to be significantly reduced.

Precision down to the last detail: we manufacture and process your stainless steel reinforcement bars exactly to plan or bending schedule – including custom shapes, special dimensions and perfectly organised delivery with clear labelling.

An overview of the different types of stainless steel reinforcement

1.4003(Top12) is a tried-and-tested building material from Switzerland that has been used successfully in building construction and civil engineering since 2003. It is particularly suitable for areas at risk of carbonation and for components exposed to chloride (e.g. de-icing salts) in areas subject to standing or splashing water. Top12 represents a reliable and cost-effective solution for significantly enhancing corrosion protection and thus considerably extending the service life of reinforced concrete structures.

1.4362 is a duplex steel which, as B500A, is equally versatile and highly corrosion-resistant. This material is frequently used in the conservation of historic buildings, where older steel alloys from Groups 2 and 3 are to be replaced, but is also commonly used by precast concrete manufacturers.

1.4482 is a duplex steel with a ferritic-austenitic microstructure and high mechanical strength. Typical applications include corrosion-resistant reinforcement in structures such as car parks, bridges and underground car parks. Furthermore, 1.4482 is suitable for load-bearing steel structures and components where high load-bearing capacity combined with significantly improved corrosion resistance is required.

1.4571 was the pioneer of stainless steel reinforcement in Europe. This material is a classic chromium-nickel steel, also known as V4A, which is universally applicable, highly durable and, due to its chemical composition, non-magnetic. It is therefore well suited to most applications and is a technically absolutely safe option, for example in hospitals, engine rooms, technical control rooms, transformer stations, but also in police and fire service control centres.
