Stainless steel reinforcement

Stainless steel reinforcement is always used wherever chlorides and moisture tend to attack load-bearing components or sensitive areas.

For this reason, stainless steel reinforcement is employed, for example, in tunnel and basement construction as well as in the renovation of multi-storey car parks. In addition, floor slabs, underground garages, and specialised areas within buildings (such as hospitals, machine rooms, or technical control centres) are now increasingly being designed and executed using stainless steel reinforcement.

In many federal states, bridge edge reinforcements on motorways and federal roads have long been made of stainless steel; nowadays, abutments and transition slabs have also become an integral part of planning.

In new construction projects, it is also possible to reduce the concrete cover, giving architects and designers new possibilities in terms of design while enabling weight savings without compromising safety or service life.

The economic and private-sector damage caused by corrosion across all areas of infrastructure is immense — not only due to repair and maintenance costs but also owing to consequential expenses such as necessary reconstruction, traffic jams, closures, or relocations.
Stainless steel reinforcement offers an effective means of preventing corrosion and thus reducing costs — both through its passive surface layer and its long-term stable cross-section, with the rib geometry remaining unchanged over time.

In Germany, several materials have been officially approved for use in construction by the German Institute for Building Technology (DIBt).

We keep all materials in sufficient stock to ensure that deliveries can usually be made without delay.

We supply your complete stainless steel reinforcement to your construction site at the agreed date. To do so, we require your existing drawings or bending schedules in PDF format. Alternatively, we are happy to process BVBS files.

Delivery is normally carried out by lorry with covered transport, and all necessary plastic loops or big bags are included.
