Reinforcing steel for the Krystallpalast site

Leipzig

SÜLZLE Stahlpartner supplies the lighthouse project of Leipzig’s urban development

An impressive new city quarter is currently being built in the heart of Leipzig: the Krystallpalast area. SÜLZLE Stahlpartner is making a contribution to this pioneering project on behalf of BAURADO Baumanagement GmbH from Markkleeberg. From 09/22 to 11/24, the SÜLZLE Stahlpartner branch in Dessau-Roßlau supplied around 5,100 tonnes of reinforcing steel for the shell of this ambitious construction project.

The entire project on the Krystallpalast site in Leipzig comprises four components with four to six storeys and a public inner courtyard. It combines living and working areas in an innovative way: 236 residential units, including 44 flats for senior citizens, and 11,200 m2 of office space are being built here. The complex is scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of 2025.

The unique location makes the Krystallpalast site one of the most important construction projects in Leipzig. It builds a bridge between the historic Graphic Quarter and the modern city centre. The name ‘Krystallpalast’ recalls the innovative iron and glass construction that was built on this site in 1882. On completion, the Krystallpalast site will not only enrich Leipzig’s skyline, but also enhance the quality of life in the neighbouring districts.
