High-tech cold store under construction in Ravensburg

SÜLZLE Stahlpartner Rosenfeld supplied 2,000 tonnes of steel and 500 tonnes of mesh on behalf of Matthäus Schmid Bauunternehmen GmbH und Co. KG for the new logistics hall of the pharmaceutical services provider Vetter in the Erlen industrial estate in Ravensburg. Vetter Pharma-Fertigung GmbH & Co. KG specialises in the aseptic filling and packaging of injectable medicines, such as in syringes, cartridges and vials.

With this expansion, the family-run company Vetter is responding to rising market demand and increasing its cold storage capacity from the current 13,000 to around 30,000 pallet spaces. Construction of the 22,500 m² building has been underway since the end of 2024 and will house, among other things, a state-of-the-art, fully automated cold store, areas for optical quality control, as well as additional office and staff facilities. The building shell is scheduled for completion in 2026, with operations set to commence in 2028.
