Reinforcing steel for new terminal at Frankfurt Airport

The two new Piers H and J at Terminal 3 at Frankfurt Airport offer a total of 24 parking positions. They are scheduled to start operations in 2023 and will not only offer comfort to wide-body aircraft: passengers will also lack nothing on a total area of around 103,000 square meters. The modern interior design concept and the continuous layout of the gates also ensure quick orientation and a feel-good atmosphere. The walls and columns in the basement of Pier H were already largely completed in late summer 2019. Before the next level can be built on the basement, formwork workers reinforce the basement ceiling with reinforcing steel. The SÜLZLE Stahlpartner site in Nordhausen is supplying around 8,000 tons of steel for the construction work on the new Pier H over a period of 16 months.
