Sonnenbühl
The Hohfleck wind farm, the first wind power project by Stadtwerke Tübingen in the Neckar-Alb region, is located in the forest area between Sonnenbühl and Engstingen. The wind farm was planned by SOWITEC (Sonnenbühl). Five turbines, each with a capacity of 4.2 megawatts, will supply around 41 million kilowatt hours of green electricity per year to over 9,000 households.
SÜLZLE Stahlpartner Dußlingen supplied around 350 tonnes of reinforcing steel for the massive foundations of the turbines on behalf of Seewind Windenergiesysteme GmbH in the summer of 2025. Despite the challenging location at an altitude of 819 to 867 metres, the project was completed on schedule. The official inauguration is in May 2026.
