About 14,000 vehicles use the B 294 in Winden every day. With a length of 4.8 kilometres, the Winden bypass will relieve the burden on residents and avert potential dangers. The key structure for the bypass near the Black Forest metropolis of Freiburg is the Brandberg Tunnel.
The tunnel project in the Elz Valley was supplied by SÜLZLE Stahlpartner from Rosenfeld with around 2,100 tonnes of reinforcing steel, 1,300 tonnes of list and 35 tonnes of storage mesh on behalf of ARGE Tunnel Brandberg (consisting of Baresel Tunnelbau GmbH and Heitkamp Construction Swiss GmbH) in the period from February 2021 to November 2022.
