AKQUINET builds secure, highly available and sustainable data center

In Victoria Park on the eastern outskirts of Hamburg, Green Datahub Holding (GDH) and AKQUINET are currently building a new data center. From spring 2024, around 700 server cabinets on over 2,350 m2 of IT space will be available for customers here.

The special feature: The data center should not only be extremely secure and highly available – the aim is to achieve the highest certification according to TÜViT TSI Level 4 – but also very sustainable. Only natural electricity from renewable energy sources is to be purchased for operation, and all systems and machines are tested for sustainability. A photovoltaic system will be installed on the green roof and the waste heat generated will be used consistently. Together with client and construction partner OTTO WULFF, the Lübeck branch of SÜLZLE Stahlpartner supplied the reinforcing steel for the construction project from November 2022 to September 2023.
