SÜLZLE Stahlpartner Pressath supports the Foundation “Sonnenblume”

On the occasion of the 140th anniversary of the SÜLZLE Group, the SÜLZLE location Pressath donates 1,400 euros to the Foundation “Sonnenblume” – a foundation for disabled people. This Foundation promotes measures and facilities that provide help for people with mental or multiple disabilities as well as people at risk of becoming disabled. The foundation’s purpose is currently fulfilled in the provision of residential and care places for the association Heilpädagogisches Zentrum – Lebenshilfe für Behinderte e.V. Irchenrieth and in providing assistance to residents of the HPZ residential homes in Irchenrieth. The independent foundation was founded in 2005 by the “Heilpädagogisches Zentrum – Lebenshilfe für Behinderte e.V.” and now has about 400 members and 700 permanent employees who care for 1,000 people with disabilities in the urban area of Weiden and the neighbouring districts. The workshop in Irchenrieth offers disabled people who, due to the nature or severity of their disability, cannot or not yet return to work in the general labour market, a job or the opportunity to work. In the workshop, there is the opportunity to fulfil oneself in suitable work. In addition, the workshop is a place for social encounters, which makes it easier for disabled people to establish new relationships outside the family. By accomplishing their work, they have social recognition and are strengthened in their personality. The aim of the Foundation “Sonnenblume” is to provide targeted financial assistance where help is needed and funds cannot be found elsewhere.

The donation from SÜLZLE Stahlpartner Pressath will be used to purchase new playground equipment for the outdoor area of the children’s home. Branch manager Marianne Ziegler and Hildegard Wolf presented a donation cheque to Mr Stadler and Mrs Kummer on behalf of the entire Pressath site.
