SÜLZLE Stahlpartner Dessau-Roßlau: Comprehensive investments completed
Another digitalised bending operation ‘Biegerei 4.0.’ launched in June
The extensive investments at SÜLZLE Stahlpartner in Dessau-Roßlau have now been completed after more than three years.
The expansions began in June 2021 with a 2,500 square metre extension to the existing hall. This was manufactured and assembled by SÜLZLE STAHL Ehrenfriedersdorf. An additional overhead crane with a span of 38.2 metres as well as further machines and equipment were installed in the hall extension.
Thanks to synergies within our group of companies and together with partners and suppliers, the entire production for bored piles and diaphragm walls was modernised and expanded over an area of around 2,400 square metres. Among other things, the product range for bored piles has been expanded to diameters of up to 175 cm, and unit weights of up to 25 tonnes can now be produced for diaphragm walls.
In a second, much larger step, the existing bending plant was made future-proof on an area of around 10,000 square metres during ongoing operations. We managed to maintain our service and reliability despite the huge rebuild. Since June 2024, Dessau-Roßlau has been SÜLZLE Stahlpartner’s second digitalised bending site in Germany after Lübeck.
Starting with incoming goods, where the material can be stored and processed according to supplier and batch, through optimised order processing with automated feeding, cutting optimisation, intermediate storage and processing, to outgoing goods, which now works by means of scanner feedback, SÜLZLE Stahlpartner has met the requirements of modern reinforcing steel processing. In the new bending plant, all processes are perfectly coordinated, automated and controlled by computer, so we now have a minute-by-minute overview of the production status of each individual order.
Thanks to the gradual modernisation, SÜLZLE Stahlpartner can offer its customers and employees a digitalised and efficient site. With the support of advanced production technologies, our customers benefit from the highest level of production quality and our team can react even faster to the specific requirements on the construction sites. The workstations are also state-of-the-art, automated and ergonomic. This makes the Dessau-Roßlau site one of the most modern locations for processing reinforcing steel in Germany.
Without the dedicated co-operation of all employees, partners and suppliers, this future-oriented project would not have been possible.
A big thank you to everyone involved!
