The future Stuttgart through station, the heart of the Stuttgart- Ulm rail project, is visibly taking shape. Very large quantities of reinforcing steel are being used in the foundations, floor slabs, walls, columns and ceilings of the new through station and in the numerous adjoining rail tunnels so that they can easily absorb the high static loads resulting from tensile and compressive forces – including for the goblet supports of the roof of the new platform hall and the Staatsgalerie light rail stop in Stuttgart, which is already in operation. More than 70,000 tons of reinforcing steel bars, reinforcing steel meshes, 100,000 bolted connections and spacers are being supplied by SÜLZLE Stahlpartner for the major construction project.
